On Monday 30 August 2011 Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was honored .An honorary doctorate by De Montfort University after the conclusion of a T20 practice game against Leicestershire . Mahendra Singh Dhoni was recognized for his excellent leadership quality and successes before he turned an Honorary Doctor of Letters at a event.
Captain MS Dhoni has obtained several achivements in his job. Under his captaincy, the Indian Cricket team achieved the 2007 ICC world t20 competition, the 2007-08 Commonwealth Bank one day series , most currently Indian Cricket team achived world cup. HMS Dhoni retains records for the most catches in an innings and the best unbeaten run as a skipper. Dhoni also retains the honor for the quickest century scored by an Indian wicket-keeper.
