Tuesday 6 September 2011 Sp General Secretary Amar Singh sent to jail .Former SP general secretary Amar Singh has been arrested in connection with the cash-for-vote scam. Delhi court on Tuesday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh in the 2008 cash-for-votes scam and sent the Rajya Sabha MP to jail.
Amar Singh can file for regular bail on 16 September . Mahavir Bhagora has also been arrested. Earlier, he claimed that he suffered from kidney ailment and was surviving on a donor’s kidney. The special court judge had asked Amar Singh and others to wait for the order.
